Fred, Upright Building Services, has done work for us at our home in Litchfield for the past 4 years. He has built 60' deck,
installed a standing seam metal roof on our house and garage, added a 400 sq. ft. addition to the house, remodeled and tiled our entry way. He is versatile and can work in a wide range of areas. His work is first rate, and his prices are fair; not the cheapest guy in town, but a bargain for the quality of the work you get. He is clean, courteous, and professional in his dealings. I trust him to work on his own at our home at any time. Planning more projects for the next year!

He completed the work in a timely manner, thing were done better than expected, suggestions by Fred usually resulted in improvements in look, quality or durability. He cleans-up after the job and hauls the debris away. He warranties his work and will come back and redo anything that needs adjustment or alteration. Description Of Work:
Fred took an old porch, repaired the rot, insulated and replaced the floor, put in supporting walls and replaced the screens with windows. The end product is lovely and done very well! Fred has replaced doors, installed insulation, and replaced our roof as well. We are very pleased with his work and the fact that he will come back if there is a question about something. I don't remember the total cost of all of the jobs, but his prices are reasonable and the materials he uses are of high quality,

Very well - it took longer than Fred had projected, but he did a careful job and didn't charge for anything extra except when he ran into the rot which hadn't been projected in the price and required additional materials.

Description Of Work:
Demolished a large deck in rear of the house and replaced with a new deck.
                                      
UBS did a very nice job removing the old rotting back deck and installing a new deck and railing. He was knowledgeable about different building options and materials. After demolition, Fred found some rot against the house where the old deck had not been flashed properly, and I paid a small amount extra for him to replace the clapboards before the new deck was installed, which was fair. He was professional in terms of the estimate, the contract, the work itself, and the clean up process (very thorough). I am using UBS to build out a small front landing and to add trim to some windows now, and will likely hire them again next summer for some additional hardscaping work.
